Infant daily schedule child care stages3/10/2024 Routines such as feeding and eating, diapering and toileting, and sleeping or resting provide multiple opportunities to support physical growth and development. As you watch children and observe what they do and say, you are able to learn more about their strengths and needs which provides you with information for developing responsive routines. Ongoing observation is an important part of your role as a caregiver and it is an essential piece to the daily care and experiences you offer in your classroom. Learning from families and through observations remain as two important strategies that you will continue to use when supporting the physical development of infants and toddlers during daily routines. You also learned about key caregiving strategies that help you create responsive routines. This lesson will focus specifically on supporting physical development during particular daily routines. In the Learning Environments course, you learned the importance of daily routines and ways of supporting infant and toddler development throughout routines. Supporting Physical Development During Daily Routines These experiences provide opportunities to grow and develop. By participating in everyday routines, a child is better able to learn about the world around them and begin to understand what is important within their environment, and how it effects them. These consistent routines should offer emotional security, which in turn helps children feel safe to explore and learn. The best thing is that I am able to concentrate on my work during the day because I know that my daughter is being cared for so well and I know she is happy and having fun.High-quality supportive early-learning environments include responsive routines that support infant and toddler physical development. The center itself is always clean and well maintained. The director is organized and approachable and sets the positive tone that the entire place has. My daughter runs to give several of them hugs in the mornings when she gets there and hugs in the afternoon when we are leaving. The staff is amazing - they are able to be educational while still being supportive and caring. It is a place that my daughter absolutely loves to go to every day. No mother ever wants to leave her kids everyday but since I have to, I am so glad that I have Today’s Learning Childcare. Day After Christmas Tuesday December 26 TLC will be closed. New Year’s Day observances Monday January 2 TLC will be closed. She will forever be missed and in our hearts. Jess was a wife to her husband Ed with two children, Nicole and Hunter. Jess had her Bachelor's Degree in Education and worked in our Infant Classroom. She had been working the childcare field for over 10 years. Jan is married, and has a daughter Erinne and has a granddaughter Riley. She is one of the infant room teachers and recently received her CDA. Jan Jan has been with TLC since 2011, and also has several years of childcare experience. Parent / Teacher conferences conducted twice a year.Observation and assessments conducted throughout the year.Open door policy to call or visit any time throughout the day.Begin teaching sign language as a form of communication.Lesson planning individualized based on developmental milestones and cross-walked with PA Infant Early Learning Standards.Safe, nurturing, healthy environment Developmentally appropriate activities.We provide a daily progress sheet that allows families to see daily diaper changes, feedings and sleep patterns, as well as overall day. We observe and assess children throughout all stages of development and share them with families offering two parent teacher conferences per year. We create developmentally-appropriate activities to foster brain and language and motor development. Our infant room serves ages 6 weeks to 12 months, with a staff to child ratio of 1:4.
